Our Book Buying Policy

It’s important for potential sellers to know how it’s done:

We buy from the public by appointment. Our myriad stock allows us to buy in most subject areas. We do not buy romance novels, textbooks, Reader’s Digest condensed books, most encyclopedia sets or duplicates of titles we already have in stock.  Condition is a very important important factor, often as important as the title itself.  We are more interested in hardcovers than paperbacks.  For books we are willing to purchase we offer generous store credit.

We also buy old photographs, postcards and other paper goods to add to our ephemera section.

Unless you have fewer than 15 books, please make an appointment.  Preferred times are between 1 and 4pm Monday through Thursday but we will try to accommodate your schedule.

We encourage you to browse if you have time, but please be patient as we evaluate your books.  If you can leave the books with us and check back later, even better.
